what is a light box candle subscription?

Every month we feature one of the UK's finest hand poured candles, personally tested by us. Each artisan candle is natural, sustainable and made by makers who truly put wellbeing at the heart of what they do. You can subscribe on a monthly rolling basis or send as a gift. Each box we send includes a 30 - 50 burn time candle, little box of matches and meet the maker info card. We also include a surprise extra treat on the side, a little sample of something for you to try. When it arrives we hope our light box can bring a feel good boost to your day and inspire some time for self care.

what is included in a light box candle subscription box?

1 x featured candle of the month. Natural, sustainable and created to help you to feel good. 30 - 50 hours of candle burn time. 1 x light box matches and meet the maker info card. Surprise extra treat on the side, a little sample of something for you to try. Delivery is included in the box subscription fee. 

how much does it cost every month?

It costs £19.99 as a monthly rolling subscription and will renew on the 1st of each month as long as you want to keep discovering with light box candles. If you have selected a gift option, you can select when you want your gift subscription to start and we offer 3, 6 or 12 months. After this time period your gift subscription will end. Payments are made on the 1st of every month. We also offer a 1 month light box which is paid for immediately. 

how does a gift subscription work?

You can send a gift subscription to someone, all you have to do is select how long you would like to send your gift for and when you would like it to start. This can be found on the third page of checkout. We offer  3, 6 or 12 months. After this time period your gift subscription will end (you will receive a cancellation email to let you know when this happens). We will pop a personalised note in the first box we send so the giftee knows who it is from. Payments are made immediately or on the 1st of the month which your gift starts and auto renew for the length of time you have selected. We also offer 1 month light boxes which are paid for immediately. Your gift will be shipped on the 16th of each month or the next working day. 

do you offer a one off light box?

Yes we do! If you go to the 'gift someone' page there is the option to buy a 1 month light box candle. A payment of £19.99 will be taken immediately and we will ship your gift on the 16th of the month. This is providing your order is made on or before the 14th of the month. If you order after this date we will ship your gift the next month. 

what if I want to cancel my subscription?

We are sorry to hear this! You can cancel your subscription at any time by clicking on the customer account icon top right. You then need to select 'manage' under 'my subscriptions' and  scroll down where you will see 'subscription settings' in pink writing. From here you can cancel or pause your subscription.

However, please make sure you cancel before the next renewal date of the 1st of the month. Cancelling on the 1st or any date after will mean you will be charged and the month's box will be sent to you. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds in these circumstances. Your subscription will be cancelled from the following month if this happens. 

when will my box be sent to me?

We send subscription boxes on the 16th of each month or the next working day. The 14th is our cut off point. So this means if you signed up to light box candles on or before the 14th we will send you your box for the month. However, if you signed up on the 15th of the month or any time after, we will send your box the next month.

do I have to commit to a length of time for my subscription?

Absolutely not. There is no commitment necessary so you can cancel your subscription at any time. This can be found by logging into your account, going to 'manage' your subscription and then 'subscription settings'. You will enter a rolling monthly subscription and payments will be taken on the 1st of each month. 

where is my light box subscription box?

we are sorry to hear you don't have your box, please get in touch at hello@lightboxcandles.co.uk so we can find it as soon as possible. We send subscription boxes on the 16th of each month or the next working day. The 14th is our cut off point. So this means if you signed up to light box candles on the 14th or before the 14th we will send you your box for the month. However, if you signed up on the 15th of the month or any time after, we will send your box the next month.

I haven't received a confirmation email or any other correspondence

Please check your junk mail just to make sure the email hasn't gone in there. We will send confirmation emails to the email address registered on the account page. If you still haven't received an email from us please contact at hello@lightboxcandles.co.uk and we will look into it for you.

what happens when my subscription comes to an end?

Every month your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel, and then it simply stops. You can do this at any time under customer account and going to 'manage' and then 'subscription settings' if you scroll down to the end of the page.

how do you make a payment on light box candles?

Our payment processor is Stripe. You can be confident in the security of making payments with Stripe which is used around the world.

I am not happy with my box / candle

We are very sorry. If your box has arrived damaged please send a picture of the damaged box to hello@lightboxcandles.co.uk. Or, if your box doesn't arrive within 14 days of the 16th please get in contact.  We will do our best to arrange a replacement to you. We will of course try our best to replace with the same candle but very rarely if we cannot replace the same candle then we reserve the right to send an alternative candle to the same value. 

Is it advisable to subscribe if I am pregnant or buy for someone who is pregnant?

If you are pregnant or are buying for someone who is pregnant we would strongly advise that you check the ingredients of the candle, or inform your giftee to check the ingredients of their candle. If there is any doubt please do not burn the candle. We cannot guarentee that your light box candle will be free of certain ingredients which might not be suitable for someone who is pregnant. 

what if I have an allergy to one of the candles?

If you suffer from allergies or certain ingredients we advise strongly that you check the ingredients of the candle. If there is any doubt please don't burn the candle. We cannot guarentee that your light box candles will be free of certain ingredients which might cause allergies and therefore we cannot guarentee that somebody will not have an allergic reaction.

are the featured candles all natural?

yes we work with artisan candle makers which use natural, cruelty free ingredients and products. 

are light box candles eco-friendly?

We believe in all things natural. We work with artisan candle makers that use products and packaging which are as sustainable as possible, and made from materials that are reusable or compostable. Our light boxes are made from materials with as little an impact as possible on our planet.
